Hey any of you knit or crochet on this site interested in connecting upwith those whodo and finding out how theygotstarted and if they still do it and what they find so fun about it. Also any of you ever tried to teach others to knitt or crochet if so hwow did youfind the experince how di the opportunity come about?

I don't knit or crochet, but I think it'd be interesting to learn anyway. I know I wouldn't do it regularly though, but it'd be kind of cool to know that I could make something by hand. The only thing I've done with pieces of yarn are those potholder things where it's like a square frame with long teeth things sticking up, and you put each strand of yarn across, and then you weave the crossing yarns thru the first ones. But from there, I don't know how to get it off and make it stay together. I think you have to use a certain kind of needle. I don't know; I was little when we had those kits. I've also used hemp thread to braid/weave together to make necklaces, although I really don't remember how to do that.
